Gold, Silver & Bronze Theme Dinner & Dance Night
8 December 2012
The annual themed dinner and dance night this year was held on the 8th December 2012. The event's theme was based on the major events taking place in the UK in 2012, in particular the Olympic Games with those who attended dressing appropriately in gold, silver or bronze.
This year the chosen charity was Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity (GOSH).
Great Ormond Street Hospital Childrens Charity - exists to support Great Ormond Street Hospital so that it can remain at the forefront of international paediatric medicine and continue to offer specialist, world-class care to thousands of patients every year.
Currently the Charity is running several appeals to fund :
1. re-development of the hospital (the hospital is over 150 years old)
2. Research into child health care and children's illnesses
3. Purchase of live saving specialist equipment
4. Support services to parents and their families
The dinner and dance itself attracted 150 people. It was held at Sunlounge Banqueting in Wembley, North London. Entertainment was provided by the inhouse DJ as well as a number of dance routines from the famous Bollywood troupe "Dance-O-Phrenics". The venue was also deccorated in gold, silver and bronze to give it the authentic look.
Raffle tickets were sold during the evening with several prizes presented to winning tickets. Some of the prizes were very kindly donated.
This event continued the tradition of similar events in previous years of being very popular and successful. LCLH would like to thank those who attended and/or donated to very worthy causes.
We would particularly like to thank our sponsors who kindly advertised in our programme guide for the night.
